Performance Marine located in Alexandria, KY was founded in 1986. When we started the business we had one and only one goal in mind, provide the highest quality, honest and timely service possible to get fisherman back out on the water! After 20 years in the business Performance Marine has undergone some changes, while we no longer sell new boats we are now able to focus our business to continue providing the best service you will find in the Tri State area. We are Factory Certified with Master Technicians capable of servicing all of your warranty and non warranty service requirements from minor repairs to engine rebuilds, including a welding shop with experienced welders that can handle any and all welding jobs.

· Custom rigging & Setup - we have always taken pride in our ability to properly set up high performance boats to achieve the absolute most efficient. Our rigging and set-up include boat-driving lessons, if required, to help you squeeze out the best performance for every horsepower from you motor.
· Our tune-ups include a Dyno Test that is recorded on your repair order. Performance Marine is proud of the fact that we purchased the very first Dyno in the Tri State area and have the experienced Techs to operate and interpret test results. All services are completed using only brand specific Factory Parts and carry a one-year warranty.
Welding:
· Our first goal in the Welding Shop is to repair your Skeg or Cavitation Plate without the usual 2 week turn around time required if your unit has to be sent out.
· We can make any and all trailer repairs from a simple repair to installing a swing away tongue.
· Performance Marine can also fabricate just about any specialty item considered necessary or repair any item regardless if its made from aluminum, steel or stainless steel you might have broken.
As every experienced boater is aware, the price of a new 150HP outboard can exceed $11,000. Unfortunately most all V6 and other 4 & 6 cylinder motors are vulnerable to damage. When this happens to your baby it can be a very tragic experience and you are now left without the use of your boat. Now you are left with few alternatives:
· You can trade for a new rig, but your trade in will be reduced considerably for the blown powerhead.
· You can purchase a new motor, choke down the cost of a new motor and rig your older boat with one of the newer high tech outboards that doesn't make a much sense if you dealing with a boat that is 6 or more years old.
· You can purchase a used motor with little or no guarantee on how that outboard has been maintained and treated. Not a comforting thought that the used motor you just purchased could be headed for the same fate as outboard you just replaced.
· You can have a dealer put a remanufactured powerhead on your motor at a cost that could exceed $6,000 and in most cases carry a 1 year warranty on the powerhead.
Performance Marine offers you a final alternative: bring us your boat and let us professionally rebuild your powerhead at a cost that is considerably lower, for example a V6 would cost approximately $3,000. Our rebuilds are all completed to factory specifications and carry a 1 year Parts & Labor Warranty. You get your boat back at a cost that is considerably less than the other alternatives and gives you the piece of mind that if your rebuild fails you are covered for Parts & Labor for a full year. We complete approximately 30 rebuilds per year and have many references to attest to the quality and craftsmanship of our work.
